Well…. another scene that let us see what Koreans think of the Western world’s Victorian period. I don’t see why many of these fantasy stories, set in the past, need to be so unnecessarily dramatic! The story, in itself, is not bad… What is bad, if not terrible, is the way it is recounted. There are so many inconsistencies in the story that it’s hard to keep it up with its pace while making sure you don’t get lost and the sloppy translation doesn’t help at all. I’m thankful for the effort though and I hope the story gets better as it progresses!

The art is beautiful but the pace of this story is wack–

This is a stupid and unnecessary scene. Is it supposed to invoke emotions like pity and anger? Meh.
So many manhwas just uncreatively add such whipping scenes – or worse – to describe a horrible childhood of male leads in order to “explain” why these characters are emotionally crippled (often combined with making them into surpassing pitiless fighters).
However it’s highly unlikely to happen to this female lead. Because if her father really wants to marry her off as some sort of perfect daughter, he absolutely cannot leave any scars on her skin…
