Just read first chapter and kinda hate that they already got rid of her birthmark. It’s an interesting desig. Element for a main character that adds to her identity. You could say the mark is a metaphor for her wanting to be loved and how openly she wanted it and how she was forced to hide it, but i think a second life where such a difining feature is removed is kinda meh. Sorta reminds me of “woke up and now i’m beautiful” and lessens the impact of loving her even if she did have a scar. Like, a love interest who said they didn’t mind it, but only after seeing her remove her mask did their true feelings come out. Idk. Just like scars on characters. They look neat.
In all honesty I thought her scar was cool😳 I was also expecting her to be a untouchable fl who shows off her scar but I guess her circumstances won’t support that
