They are showing and not telling but if you have no prior reference to noble politics then it will go right over your head. For exe, Why didn’t he fight off that girl that tried to r*pe him?

This is a great roll reversal that shows ppl that you need more then physical strength to be free and powerful and control your own life. Being desperate for safely in a world that will use you up means being forced to give ppl anything whey want on the CHANCE that someone will stand up with you when you need them.
This was his 2nd/3rd reincarnation instead of his 8th(?) cause even with his soft personality, how old would his true age be for him to not learn how to properly defend himself by now with so much knowledge of the future. I get that this society doesn’t favour the first-born or the males as successors, still even without the advantages that his gender would have normally awarded him, his circumstances are still hard to perceive. I’m literally begging every chapter for them to give me more but it’s always too short and too rushed.

Honestly I’m disgusted and disappointed in both this (the story) and myself. First I’m disappointed that the already fell in love, like the FLs that say stuff like I’ll never fall in love with you usually take like a week to a month tops to fall in love but it literally took them one night, that’s so unclimatic. Second I’m disgusted that the emperor is taking advantage of the FL’s apathetic attitude and undying loyalty to do whatever she wants with her life, like I understand achieving their goal of making a great empire but manipulating her choices and even ruining her chances of true love for the emperor’s own agenda is messed up. Second part to that is I’m disgusted by how possessive the ML has already become, it’s gross
As cute as this is, I agree. The emperor’s personality is consistent, so I won’t find fault with that but the story overall is way too rushed! Characters just jump from emotion A to D with hardly a pause in between. As I said before, they need to SHOW us how their relationship is developing, not tell us. Show us the pain he suffered, desperation, the hopelessness that this is truly is last resort. It’s almost as if the author was making a parody to show how ridiculous these stories type of stories are but it’s disappointing to those who were truly hoping for a indept romance depicted from the other side. It’s leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
