To be honest, the issue with Gaspar could’ve been solved long time ago, if only Yvonna didn’t hesitate to use her beasts. She tried to keep them hidden cause they were associated with Gaspar, but she didn’t have to. If the truth came out earlier, a lot of things wouldn’t have happened and many deaths could’ve been avoided. As much as I admire her character development and strength, I can’t help but despise her indecisiveness when it comes to Gaspar and her lack of resolve to deal with him once and for all. He’s only making trouble for everyone and putting people in danger for his own selfish reasons, so there’s no point in dragging this out for so long.
Moral of the story: don’t overly praise children and let them learn lessons through consequences. Tristan is finally realizing that Gaspal doesn’t care for anybody but himself, if he wants redemption and regard some self-respect he just better book it.
