I agree with her on rejecting that sudden kiss, but her entire rejection of escape anniys me. healing often comes from change. I’ve wallowed in my own trama for years and never got any better, but once I started going outside my comfort zone I started to get better and started to enjoy life again!
i relate to fearing an unknown future, finding comfort in a horrible situation because it’s what she knows, and is used to. Returning to the life she knows, instead of going to a life she doesn’t know. There’s a saying, “Better the devil you know, than the one you don’t” or something like that.
