He played an active part in her family’s destruction and relentlessly chased after her for 10 years, for sure. Let’s say he did have some feelings for her, which is why he never seemed to harm her directly but only insisted for her to surrender. He’s probably the type who only cares about having her, regardless of her feelings.
In that way him and Diabel are really alike aren’t they? Diabel doesn’t give a single fck about how she feels and it’s all about the entertainment she could give him. For Erez, it could be that he’s caught feelings or just lowkey obsessed about her but he doesn’t give a fck about how she may feel about his family destroying hers n all that. Heck even Diabel and Erez looks alike, like opposing sides of a coin. Black white, purple green. What if Erez was actually some celestial being and this was actually some grand scale battle between two supernatural beings, and MC is just caught up in it? Would explain Erez’s reaction to her asking about Diabel in her first life like “even in this situation, you care about him? he’s just a demon playing you for a fool and her you are worried about him” notice how he didn’t really answer her question?
@chinny I dunno if you’re talking about me but I wasn’t trying to make excuses for him. I want FL to destroy his family and get her vengeance. I was just trying to sus out his motivations and possible angles FL could go from here. If he’s not involved in her family’s downfall and has such a crush on her that it whithstands years plus the conflict, that’s an avenue of attack.
Before the time-skip, it was unclear why he was giving her an “out” and it seemed like he was the perpetrator of the initial attack even.
Even if he likes her or is just acting, won’t change the fact that his family killed hers and he, no matter the reason, was chasing her for 13 years to chop her head off in the end. I personally find him annoying, minor spoilers (there is 20 chapters of it) her infecisivnes towards Erez in later chapters is alarming, but she decided to use him for revenge, and we all know how it will end, i had high hopes for this one but still, i won’t drop it yet, diabel is to sassy to sleep on this series, literally the most interesting character so far.
I’m so curious if he is just acting or if this innocent boy is real. But if it is, than I want to know why he was such an idiot with the surrender and everything….

I mean, who gives AF if he wasn’t personally involved? His family decimated her whole family. It doesn’t matter because when he finds out a month later, he still stands with them and fights for them seeking her surrender, not peace talks
So the reason he fought so hard to have her give up her revenge was because of his feelings for her… I’m pretty sure I called it but this seems more innocent than my prediction. For one thing, it seems he wasn’t involved in the initial attack and just fought against her when she went after him and his family afterwards – but he still reached out because he couldn’t forget his crush.
