From my point of view, the story has bad introduction of the story. It could be like this:
There was once an elf who blah blah blah about making a contract with an elemental king, They soon made a bond with each other… The elf wanted to surprise her lover and soon make a family living happily but when she made a contract with the devil, she soon realized the consequences and accepted it. But when the time came.. Her lover the elemental king soon found out about the contract and was devastated, he grieved for his lover to come back and soon shut himself in. Living alone forever.. Or so he thinks. 16 or 17 years later he soon finds a letter written by his lover. When he reads it he was “fLabBerGaSTed” and soon made a move for his lover’s last wish before she disappeared into the hands of the devil. and turning the camera to the daughter, it should’ve been in his timeline too. The daughter was found by a poor couple and a working hard to pay off her debts from the poor old couple, she loves the poor old couple so much that she treated them as her real parents despite knowing they are not. and then the story continues like the father’s past. The daughter’s personality is stubborn and so on. and the end.
But that’s just my opinion. The story plot’s have been written already so no there is nothing more that could be done.

As a fellow reader,let me point out a few things.
I know we are feel not ok about her father being a scum. But we need to remember that
1. He is not human but the freaking spirit king who rule the ‘Water’ element and is considered ‘mythical legends”.
2. He never want a kid or have a desire for it since it’s Impossible for him and all he want is to be with his wife till her last breath.
3.Since he is spirit king,his way of thinking of conception of time is different from human thus 17yrs is still feel like last week/month or smth.
4.It’s still like ch3 or smth.So,in later chapters, there’s gonna be character development.I must say the most obvious moment will be between ch 30 -40.
Well,this is all I wanna say. I just want to persuade those who were thinking about dropping this beautiful manhwa.
