I agree with everyone the King is a huge coward and it’s not surprising our ML has cowardly tendencies, it’s genetic. The King is so depressed about his wife to defend her son but can marry and give birth to another child, BS! He just a horrible father and man honestly, as the king he has the highest authority but he remarries and neglects both his children, new wife (even though she’s evil, he took the responsibility so it’s his) and his kingdom to cry. He could have just as easily stood his ground on not to remarry, and raised his son to be the next monarch and retired (died) early. Idc if it comes out that the new wife tricked him into marriage, he’s crap.
