   despite the cool name, this is the most shallow, simplistic cliched story I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading in here. it relies entirely on cheap, badly made drama based on “trauma” via Evil Villainess that is neither reasonable nor justifiable, the story doesn’t even try to build her up as anything but overly cruel and shallowly greedy for no reason and without any sort of built up either, all just to try to establish a meek “revenge” plotline that is not only disjointed but awkward from the beginning.

   as if that wasn’t bad enough, this story not only trivializes but villainzes depression and mental illnesses (generally speaking, but mostly depression) by making both the ML and his father seem like coward “broken” men that the FL needs to “rescue”. it’s particularly impressive in the king’s case, cause not only did the readers bought this shitty “reasoning” (if it can be called that) despite the lack of proper logic to it (he lets himself be harmed and it is NOT considered self harm or destructive tedencies??) but it’s also to the point of being stupid, how did marry and have a second som if he’s in such a bad condition since the previous queen’s death? not only that, but his current wife killed his past wofe and he’s just handing her all his power and freedom bc he can’t “handle” reality? does being depressive make people’s brain melt suddenly? it’s ludicrous.
   .
   finally, the art is kinda ugly. not only that, but the dialogues are all contrived too, so even kf the translation is actually okay for once, it has nothing to work with. Would never ever recommend this shit to anyone.

   This manhwa could have potential but it fails to deliver the intelligence and tactical skill of other fl who had similar story such as this. Very predictable and unnecessary lovey dovey scenes.
