Summary
Read manhwa The Cruelty of Salvation / 구원, 그 잔혹함에 대하여
Commoner wench. Olivia never grew numb to that loathsome word. Titles like the first female university student or top honours graduate meant nothing in the face of it. Then one day, the Herot royal family presented her with the royal flower, Noah Astrid. It felt very much like a blossom laced with poison, yet she had no choice but to take it. And once she held a flower for the first time, she couldn’t help but love it.

I’m not sure if you’re talking about my early review or the description for the series, but I was vague intentionally. The very basic setup seems to be for a morganatic romantic drama (relationship between two ppl with vastly different status).
The setting is a kingdom that is experiencing the social shift from historic nobility rule into an era where wealth and technological influence are giving way for commoners to rise in power.
FL is a commoner who was invited to the royal palace as the first female student and top graduate from a prestigious university. ML is a prince.
The story opens with a flash-forward to two years later, where you see ML having a romantic dream about FL and then waking up alone. So presumably they aren’t together. Then the narrative moves back to before they met, and follows her as she accepts the invitation, enters the palace, and meets the prince.

Seems really good so far. I’ve read up through Ch. 6 on Magus, and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more. The art is very pretty, and the set-up seems fairly simple, but intriguing enough as a foundation for a compelling romance. Characters are established in a way that feels natural. Writing and storyboarding is not heavy-handed and naturally makes you curious to find out more.
It’s really early to say, but the first few chapters feel like solid groundwork for a phenomenal, character-driven classical romance story.
