So what I’ve gathered from the comments and what I’ve seen, she may look beautiful to us due to the art but in the world of the manhwa/novel, she is ugly by the standards of beauty in the world. Well, Art is supposed to be pretty. They really can’t draw an ugly girl. I think it’s an actual talent to do that in the first place.
I heard that in the novel she is actually described as ugly. But I don’t think the artist had the ability to to bring that in to adaptation.

Anyways gendered violence isn’t about attraction or attractiveness. It’s about power. Treating FL like she’s safe because she’s unappealing to men is a dangerous mindset and contributes to victims irl not being believed.
