comments section taking this a little too seriously. this comic is not written well enough for you to consider any of the characters or settings three-dimensional. there is no nuance to the situation with the parents because the author wants the protagonist to look cool by rescuing some neglected kids. there is literally nothing beyond that. they’re just there to make the MC look cool. no other reason. the author simply did a bad job of portraying the parents as bad enough to have the audience fully convinced, which again, is a symptom of just plain not being good at writing. y’all need to meet the quality of the work where it’s at, and in this case, that’s approximately kindergarten reading level
While I agree we don’t know enough about the situation at all regarding the kids and their well-being, I will say it’s a bit telling if ALL of them decide to leave.
Also ONE hour of ONE day a week for work and mandating some schooling that otherwise they likely had no access to is not?? Horrid?? Seemed a bit tsundere for her, definitely, but they’ll need skills and this is practically golden opportunity.
We so often read manhwas where children are being either abused or exploited by their parents, like by being forced to go beg on the streets or even steal. So I guess the author might have thought s/he wished there was at least one female lead in such a story who would simply save children from harmful legal guardians no matter what, even by force or if it’s against the law?
Many female leads of romance manhwas have a weird moral compass, most often by simply ignoring the suffering of people that they could help easily if they just cared; but instead they turn a blind eye and focus solely on their own well-being and of course on “their” male lead…
Wow…dumbasses below don’t know how to think about the struggle of the poor people when the parents already have 7 or 8 kids and are using number 2-4 to work and provide the parents and number with money while leaving the rest with nothing….so good parents that aren’t even working
Except you are the dumbass who argues with pure speculation.
We don’t know if the parents are working or not since it’s not shown or said.
We do know that only 1 of the other kids were working.
We don’t know how tough their situation is at all since we haven’t been shown or told anything outside of them wanting to use the sponsor money for the family.
But keep living in your delusions if you want to man
How hypocritical can she be? Her argument for taking the kids is that the parents can’t provide for them (though she is actually just projecting) but she is going to have them work and pay rent for staying at her place anyways.
This fl seems to have a very twisted moral compass so far
She could have just talked with the parents first, could have let the kids live there (reducing the bill of parents), and allow visits at least. Or have the parents truly trash that highly abused the kids, so that it felt more justified to remove them from them. But just for using the sponsorship money… it’s too excessive. That’s a noble abusing their power and talking from a very high horse about not properly proving for the kids.
