He was able to in the OG which is why he was able to pursue whatever he wanted, eventually getting close to the girls who like him in the story. This time, he doesn’t have that security so now he’s obsessing over her instead of trying to find him own happiness. His over-reliance is something he’ll need to deal with if he’s ever gonna get a happy ending by the end of this.
