That’s what I was saying. It sucks that as a woman living in this society, she can’t do anything on her own unless she’s divorced or a widow. The way the story will turn out is that she gives up on her independence for ~love~. While it is interesting in it’s own way; you can’t help but think it’s less than it could’ve been. We haven’t really seen her plans after that, though. I mean, what will she do when she has her freedom? She’s not really living her life now, just surviving. But happiness doesn’t require a love interest to find.
Honestly I would prefer if she get this divorce and be independent like she wants from the start. I don’t care if he loves her for real, if she is not intrested then his love doesn’t matter. Sadly, she’s judging Carcel based on her past lives with other men forgetting each of them is different. She’s made up her own mind about everything disregarding the fact that Carcel has done the same as he promised her. It’s worth observing him than making her own conclusions. Hopefully, his actions and intentions really do reach her. It’s an uphill climb for sure.
