I enjoy reading this story, don’t get me wrong (otherwise I’d drop it) and it’s not that serious to me but yeah… ML was acting out on his own and not communicating how he felt back then. It’s understandable because he was young and dumb but like he said, he does feel guilty because it wasn’t a one time thing. You can be dumb and ignorant once, but when you continue to repeat the same mistake over and over again…that’s not a small mistake anymore. He slept with countless women and started to resent her when he never even told her what he was going through. The FL should’ve definitely said something as well but she has been traumatized and just living to survive (escape) everyone. She’s tried living for others and tried to do what others wanted her to do and every time it’s led her to a horrible life. I understand she is going to try and be selfish this time and go for a life that will make HER happy, but she still should’ve gone about it a bit more differently. The ML is still a human with thoughts and feelings. She should’ve just told him the truth and signed a contract deal situation once they were teenagers and could talk about their future in a mature way. But anyways, I like where this story is going, I want to see where they’ll both go from here

I’m so fucking glad that she didn’t end up with that painter whom incapable to protect her and only just got to gave her a temporary sweet escapism from all the fucking hell live that she lived. And sorry to dissapoint you, but you should be thankful to Carcel because Emiliano existence itself is because of Carcel’s prayers. Even when they escaped from the Crown Prince, Carcel do the deed of not murdering them even when he supposedy need to do so.
I don’t want to write this on the first place, but when you draged the Author who write the excellent story about how Ines embraces her sorrow and get her freedom from her hell, I just can’t with you.

I mean for god sake she could’ve done the same thing but she didn’t because she was actually loyal, even though she’s using him, even while seeing him kissing another girl.

I think a lot of people commenting don’t really understand what he said. Not once does he say he “cheated” because he loves her.
First off he never cheated on anyone because to cheat on someone you need to have a relationship. Something they both didn’t have. Something that does not exist in this time period specially if you are engaged since you are 6 years old. In the real world you should be able to experience more than one relationship to see what it’s all about and how you should be treated.
Second, he loved her until he perceived that she didn’t love him back at all. Isn’t that the worst feeling ever, loving someone and then knowing they do not care for you even in the slightest. What do you do? you distance yourself and you try to find solace in other things to try to make yourself feel better.
Also y’all are acting like he just flipped as soon as she became I’ll, like did you read that he went to her house to seek her out for days, months and when he had enough he backed off. Also as someone who has read the novel his experience before he got married to her had not been jolly. he has gone through many awful things for just being engaged to Inés. So I don’t think it out of this world that he would try to distance himself and seek these other things from other people. Because up until now he knows she does not love him or want him in a romantic way so why not try to get appreciation from somewhere else where he is wanted.
Also I’m not saying this is Inés’ fault because she herself is a very tormented person and love is the furthest thing in her mind right now (as it should). This is not her fault either it’s simply a miscommunication on both parts. She is someone with Several lifetimes of torture and experience and he doesn’t remember anything. So it makes sense that she isn’t looking for love she just wants live while she is alive.
I’m not attacking anyone I respect all thoughts on it and I understand why people think this way. I hope people don’t give up on it yet. I will love to see their relationship develop. 😀

I can feel him too and since she claimed him to be her fiance at such a ypung age when he didn’t have a say in all that, I can’t even say that he was a cheater… she could just cancel the engagement anyway…specially since they were only engaged in name and had zero relationship and as a teenage boy in his puberty with all that pride and identity trauma that teenagers go through I can understand and forgive him. I hope Ines can let go of her past life sooner because judging people around her based on her previous experince is not only wrong for herself but cruel to those people too.

He’s trash and this story is dumb. I am so sick and tired of seeing people simp for this guy. He’s so gross I don’t give a sh*t what he was to her in a previous lifetime. It doesn’t makeup for all the whoremongering he’s done. I really don’t like this story. It is so beautiful, but that’s all it is. It’s just a shame such a talented artist is wasting their talents drawing this dumb series. (Tbh she should be with the painter and reconcive her baby she had with him. Pretty disturbing how the author just uses the painter and their baby for plot devices to push her to Carcel. The painter was a much better lover to her and I feel like this story is saying her family was right to kill him and that she should’ve never been with someone of a low status. I just hate it.

Surprisingly, I…. Get it and feel for him, kind of? He was a teenager. His emotions, pride and lack of maturity brought him to this point. In high school, we all did unnecessary stuff to be perceived a certain way, or to follow our emotional and short sighted impulses, that we wouldnt have done in our adult life. Nevertheless, compared to him, our stakes are lower. His stakes are a marriage, a fiance, an alliance and to some extend, his future as a nobility. As a teen he processed things and acted like most teenager do, even though he actually couldnt afford to be just like any other teenager and needed to step up as a grown man.
