I would like to point out that this novel has some kind of Spanish background. You can tell by the names and the hairstyles on the women. Now, all of the names and last names used here are more or less okay… except for one. I’d really like to know why is the ML is named jail or prison? Like seriously, that’s what ‘Carcel’ means! Is there a reason behind that?
ugh the storytelling of ines’ pov is so beautiful. my heart hurts for her when i think about how many lives she had to endure. how much resentment she had towards her family, her husbands, and herself. i’m glad she was able to get a little closure from her life with emiliano. and it seems like she’s closer to getting over the trauma by acknowledging that those things have never happened to her in this specific life, so she’s safe from that pain.
