It did occur to me right then, but I’m now sure it was all related to HER!
When she finds out she’ll be devastated for sure.
Knowing all your loved ones were sent to their deaths because of you, its unbearable.
The blond night said it was the order of the marquise but it is still unclear whether he wanted to get rid of dark past or it really was the marquise’s order to slaughter those women.
I doubt. It must have been his own selfish, cruel act.
However, if the whole thing was related to HER then the whole incident could have been a trap to lure her out or to get rid of her at once.
If there REALLY WAS bandits then they probably were ‘paid’ to do the dirty job for the mastermind behind it.
Who is the mastermind then?
It could be the very smirking duke.
He is portrayed as a villain up until now but we can’t be sure yet.
What I’m almost sure about is that the marquis isn’t a villain. He could in fact be a decent, kindhearted person.
Yet, I’m still worried about Violet. Even if the marquis is a good guy, what if he gets slain by the duke when he comes to try and take her away?
And as she kinda ‘flagged’, what if it happens right when she starts to finally open up to him and his sons only for them to be taken away from her yet again?! Dayum…

There is another possibility for the duke to be an extraordinary person, like an archmage or a dragon. He could also be a demon or something along those lines.
Whatever the case, I only wish for her to be happy to be honest.
And to find good people as family, friends and allies, purge the filth and get justice for the previous saintess and all the innocent including her poor sisters.
Church option would be the most fucked since the possibility of priest(s) abusing her (as a child and adult) would be really high which is the worst. As for the noble, she can easily take revenge after growing a bit and believe me Church would have fucked her the most figuratively and literally in a way that she wouldn’t be able to take revenge.
If the Duke was there I’d have opted for him no matter what. While some of the priests were abusive trash his soldiers killed her sisters outright. I hope she doesn’t forget them and never forgive any of them no matter what. I need justice for the sisters!!!!!!
