You don't have anything in histories

its not that the king will snu snu the wife of his chamberlain. He just need a woman who will act like a queen and do the queen duties not including the marital duties.
More like hiring a queen/assistant.Not a lover

@yueblue it would be horrid in this time and age if such thing happen but back in the day women above 20 were past marriable age. I assume they are still looking for, at those times, older women as mistresses. I would assume that because the medicine was on a way worse level than it is now and death rate for people was much higher it makes sense. But since itself fantasy world made in 21st century we could take into account that for a modern reader it’s outrageous.

I liked the story so far but why would the king wants a young mistress? Its kind of gross knowing his daughter also is young like 16-ish then he wants a mistress between the age of 20-34? Like your majesty, can’t you put the age requirement appropriate to your age? And the criteria of having a strange relationship w/ the husband like what the heck, can’t you just say unmarried or divorce or widow w/ no child woman?
I also find it weird the criteria kinda fits the wife of his chamberlain.. Like seriously this story is getting weird..

Oh no the poor chamberlain! If he didn’t like his wife well it was more understandable to hit on her but please! The guy loved her even though she feels distant, This is so wrong however you look at it.
I never thought such a kind king would practically steal his own head chamberlain’s young wife!!
I’m disappointed.
I really liked this story at first, but it keeps tumbling and blundering in quite a few important stances The story lacks a firm structure and sounds unstable, as if a few writers made the story up together.
