after rereading the entire series, I think this is the first time the series hit really deep. Imo this was the saddest death because it was essentially meaningless and no one really acknowledged her sacrifice. She suffered the most, however ppl will only remember as the weakest lance who died first. No one, other than Arthur would understand the pain and torture she suffered before dying.
@Dragoon reaper she said he reminds her of her little brother not her son or anything like that so the 7-8 year age gap only indicates the time of birth between Alea and her brother.
