Just because I want to throw in some more spoilers here. You should probably stop reading at this point if you don’t want to be spoiled. Noah is our end game, the boy with the mask. The reason he wears a mask is because of a golem core embedded in his forehead. It was placed there by his mother, at first it was thought she did this purely as an experiment and Noah hated his mother for it. Since it caused him to be bullied and thought of as ugly. So he wears the mask to hide that he’s a “monster”.

Well, Claris loves pretty stones, especially golem cores. So she finds his face probably the most attractive face on the freaking planet, lol. Her initial reaction was to ask if she could touch it and gets lost caressing it XD Everytime after that, if they are alone, she asks if she can touch it XD LOL
