Urg, I want to drop this but I’m curious about so many things. Since they’re named Caortan, then Caortan probably ascended as the king/emperor? What happened to Doom, his lover? Did he become the general for his lover or did he rule by his side? If it was Thalassa’s curse, why isn’t Doom’s lineage cursed? Because he did not have any kids? How did the ancestor of the Duke’s family formerly cure the curse? If it was cured, why is it still ongoing? Did she just find the cure and did not actually cure him or something?

I’m happy she was able to curse them and it has taken a generational toll. I hope the king won’t pull a Dumbledore and try to sacrifice the princess 😭

from my understanding it’s the old ancient emperor had hallucinations which lead him to do crazy shit which was only calmed down when he sacrificed Duke families first maiden
so this first maiden before dying told them a baby dragon can only break the curse that’s born in the Duke fam
so this crazy kings prior killed every kids till today
and they successfully killled fls parents too

I didn’t quite get the narrative on the first emperor due to the lacking TL.
What did that nasty Croatan do?
The original MC didn’t have descendants, so what is it about the Leseiyan family’s baby girls been sacrificed?
It sounds so contradictory.
They have been cursed by the queen due to what they, I mean their first emperor, has done to her.
Yet they claim her descendant is someone who cured the first emperor’s madness?
And have sacrificed countless girls from a 1000yrs ago till now?!
They have a prophecy as well!!
They show respect for the same queen who has cursed them? Or is it just to trick the masses?
Did he fear she would come back and take revenge so he made up the story so that there wouldn’t be anyone remaining of her bloodline? Though I dont know how there could be anyone of her bloodline since she didnt have a spouse, and I doubt if she had a child with that jerk too.

@Leileyani I think Croatan’s problem wasn’t with love but power! Im not even sure if was really in love! Not just with the queen but even with the other guy!! That guy, Dume or something. was more honest I think. Croatan was more of a strategist, not someone who honesty is his forte. He could have had many ulterior motives behind that exterior.

Honestly, if they had JUST told her the truth that they loved each other and had not imprisoned her for a THOUSAND YEARS, then their descendants would not have been cursed to die a horrible death. They mentioned it but it wasn’t just that they destroy everything around them but they also destroy themselves with the rages.
