I possessed a supporting character in a reverse harem novel.
As a young concubine who gained the interest of the emperor. The concubines and male lords eventually killed her for treason.

Emperor is a WOMAN (=Her). SHE has consorts. Those are MALE consorts (=He/Him/them). The MC is a small Girl, who is 8 years old at the start of the story. SHE was abused in that household and sent to the FEMALE Emperor because that household HAS TO send concubines to the emperor because of Tradition (It is a high level household which “produces” concubines (male or female does not seem to matter)).
I will not spoil anything, this is just literally the stuff of chapter 0 but especially the backstory and pronouns are messed up often, so here you go.
