Hey, to anyone defending this relationship…. The age gap is fine when we’re talking about consensual adults and they have a similar level of psychological development!
This, sadly, is not the same. One is CLEARLY an adult and the dragon girl… Even in the terms of this novel, is just too young. She LITERALLY and EXPLICITLY SAID is like JUST recognized as a “mature dragon” (she just had her 800th birthday), so it’s like shipping a 18 year old with… A 35-ish year old… It’s super weird.
The dragon girl displayed in NUMEROUS occasions immature and ignorant behaviour about the world, social relationships, emotions… So if this develops into a romantic relationship, I would have to drop. Specially considering this would be quite literally gr*om1ng!
Don’t worry about their age gap. It’s fine Rurin is dragon, she is going to live for 1000+yrs. Mc is human, and he is probably going to live for no more than 60more yrs but just as Rurin said absorbing Mana from dragon crystal ball can grant him longer life. So it’s futile to be concerned about age gap in large age scale. I’m sure they both going to live for 1000s of yrs.
Man I want this to be an older brother or uncle type relationship but its pretty clear its headed towards romance. They even through in an example of an age gap couple before to normalize it.
the earlier age gap was fine.. at least she is a grown 30yo adult but this would be a bit weird. even though she’s a dragon she still has the mentality of a girl that just turned 18.. and the mc is in his mid to late 30’s . he died when he was just out of college and it’s been 15 years plus the year of living in this village so he’s anywhere from 35-38 . sure they drew him young looking, but that doesn’t change anything

I don’t see this as a love relationship.
