And saying that for plot sake making carsen a villain, if we that logic we take, then I don’t think any villains are really bad in any other manhwa, they were just to made up to drive the plot.
There are many webtoon I read in which a child become villain. But I didn’t see any supportive comment towards them. Why? That villain boy tormenting the fl not the other character. That’s the real face of we two faced reader.

In a resource limited condition like that orphanage run by a bunch of gamblers, he too is just afraid of his share of resources decreasing. The kids who grew up under that exploitive and abusive condition have got their own trauma too. And it’s because of that same reason that the original Elle bullied the ML. The only reason the FL doesn’t bully him is cause she’s a freakin adult on the inside…

From being an enslaved orphan where he was treated like a possession to being in the orphanage for 5mins and being bullied, he’s a child clinging desperately to the only good thing he has ever known. Probably has a fear of that one good thing being taken from him. He has a lot of growing to do, sure. But I don’t think his behavior is condemnable.
Tbh i feel bad for carsein. He’s 13 and i don’t want to imagine the kid of treatment he is now getting.. ik he bullied the others but i feel like this will leave deep wounds when he’ grown up..

I hate MLs like that, they play the victim card “ohhhhh no one likes me, I’ll only have MC by my side, boo hoo” and when someone close to the MC is like “Hi, I’m friends with MC and general a nice person, let’s get along” the ML is like f*ck off, don’t even talk to me. Like of course no one likes you, you’re a total asshat, I don’t care if you’ve all the sudden because an obsessive jealous dumb of ass, its really annoying, and as a child that’s even worse because now it’s totally set the tone for his whole character and he’ll never have a real character development other than maybe letting the MC have a few unmonitored female friends
