   I actually like this manhwa. The art is very much to my liking, and even though the first few chapters are rather stupid and full of clichés, the plot gets a lot better with time.
   I especially adore the female lead – she does her best and she’s quite clever when it comes to schemings and such, while otherwise being a very typical kind and caring isekai-heroine. As common in these stories, the female lead’s plans are often based on her knowledge about the “original work” which she has isekai’d into.
   It’s definitely not the female lead’s fault that some things are different from said original work. That’s solely the author’s fault in fact. And I don’t see how it’s wrong of the female lead to be wary of the male lead, since he really does have murderous secrets and dark desires – so why are readers criticising the female lead for being cautious?
   Sure, she is rather thick in her belief that the male lead couldn’t possibly be in love with her, but what does it matter? Is she supposed to throw herself at him just because he wants her? Don’t her own feelings matter most for that?
   Yes, like many others I also dislike how the author creates a chain of “coincidences” to make things happen in the beginning, mainly for the first meeting of the lead couple.
   There’s no comprehensible reason for the male lead to search for his hated fiancée in person, then to suddenly leave his attendants and go on alone, after which he transforms into his beast form against his will (obviously only for the sake of the plot) and is captured somewhere faaar out in the woods…
   Then the female lead “coincidentally” shows up at the exact same place where the male lead is held – even though days must have passed after she had left her home, because her written will was brought to the imperial family in the meanwhile.
   And how do they end up in an “imprinting cave” of all places, where the original female lead has bonded with the male lead in the original work?!
   I think it’s quite relatable though that the female lead tries to get on the male lead’s good side as a survival-strategy and to treat him kindly in his beast-form too.
   However, it’s rather sad that the author could not resist to rely on the worn-out trope that the male lead immediately obsesses about the isekai’d woman who acts so innocently and nice, which makes him forget all the reasons for the hatred he once felt for the original villainess in an instant.
   And why is he totally disinterested in her adopted sister, even though that girl would have been the original female lead?
   However, there are other aspects of this story I really love, like that the original female lead turns out to be a good person instead of a typical white lotus b*tch, or that the female lead’s brother is also a doting sibling, and how the current female lead builds up good relations with both 🙂
   There are some funny bits throughout the story too; and all the surprised faces of the female lead just make me grin every time 😛

   The art is pretty good. The FL is unbelievably dense, she can be kinda clever one minute and then is just dumb when it comes to the ML. The ML still seems kinda one-dimensional 16 chaps in. The story has the same plot as 100 other manhwas and hasn’t really stood out in any way yet.

    I’m a huge fan of the novel so I’m happy that it’s been adapted to this manhwa. As usual the manhwa adaptation does omit some details that gave the story more depth.

    This is cute and art is pretty but you gotta turn off your brain a bit cuz plot isn’t plotting. There are a few inconsistencies and I don’t like certain situations regarding the ML, if not for that he’d be the typical devoted obsessed handsome ML, but then there’s an aspect about him that makes me roll my eyes. FL is a bit of the typical airhead but I’ve seen worse, I don’t dislike her that much.
    .
    It’s good tho, and with the pretty art I don’t mind the negative aspects that much, plus there are cute parts too so it’s fine for me. Let’s see how it goes and if it keeps improving

    Typical FL gets entanglesd with ML no matter what the route she takes, FLs in such stories ain’t firm or situation gets twisted MLs in such stories are measzy easy guys who are quick to catch feelings n other cringe stuff I’m tired of such sheer bullshit where most of the time compliments given to characters (MLs or such n so) are on their status money looks which is okay but not so substantial since I give more value to personailt knowledge wisdom and authenticity of any individual strip away staus skill I see nothing special but its just 2 chaps I’m not so patient these days yea this ML might be good but I most of the time don’t see anything specaisl in such stories its same plot different character names FL is also dramatic I can’t with needless gestures or ppl who get lost in thought when someone is in front of that ik its author’s way of giving us backstory still execution is terrible
