my major gripe with this story now is how every time Rosetta and Kaizen plot something behind Elena’s back, she goes “something feels off about this” but *nothing* comes of that. author, WE know that something is wrong, what are you telling us for? don’t keep making her act like she’s clever for noticing things are off when she does absolutely nothing to find out why she feels that way and fix the problem
Yep. She could at least try asking herself appropriate questions for her gut feeling. Something like “why are they holding engagement at this time? Is she trying to solidify her position so fast because she’s anxious about something? Many she is worried that this event will bust my reputation and public opinion will favour me and Lloyd more? Oh my god assassination attempt? Who would benefit it the most? Right now it’s crown prince and Rosseta are benefactors because his majesty is wavering in Lloyd’s favor and crown prince can lose his position and Rosseta will never be an empress if that happens. Are they planning to hold engagement in this time? What are they trying to pull attention from?….” You know. Basic questions and answers
