I really like it when an author includes cutting remarks and veiled insults in dialog between rivals. It’s really difficult to do it well and make it sound believable. Not great how the ladies were portrayed as air heads uneducated and uninterested in the whats going on around them and it doesn’t really fit with them asking Tennesse to apologize instead of wanting to continue the cat fight.
I would have liked seeing the ladies look at each other and excitedly launch into info related to their specific territories like they didn’t realize they were in like-minded company. The fl can’t be the only woman interested in becoming the heir to their lands, right?
