Honestly, OGFL’s thinking is just so incredibly shallow that it’s hard for me to think of her as a threat. Like this scene may have made the townspeople like her a bit more, but they don’t matter in her ability to become empress. She just showed any nobility who hear the story that the crown prince is easily swayed and shouldn’t be given power. Not only did she not take a step towards being empress, she pushed him further from being emperor.
@HoneyToast I think that last panel might be it actually. She employed the kid without anyone knowing. Probably because she knew the kid would have a really hard time living after what trash did.
If anyone really cared they’d employ the kid. She really just ruined his livelihood to make herself look better. Even if an orphaned child gets a job, they’d likely be abused or underpaid if at all be fr
