It should be complain queen at this point from the many comments I have seen from you ‘complaining’ about so many stories. First of all, no, FL can’t go on a vacation. She has debts (the cheating guy has it, but the loan contracts are in her name), so many to the point that she needs to work multiple jobs. Second of all, FL and the cheating guy has been in a relationship for 13 years. That number is not little for her, who has been seeing the relationship as something that is possible to continue for so long, so the fact that she can’t help but to reminisce the happy memories of their relationship is not something of a surprise.
Now to @Lightning-Kun, you’re much better than critique queen with how you reason FL stuff. So from how i see it, she actually can’t formed boundaries with ML as she has been in a relationship that has been blurring the way she views what boundary is. Well I don’t know how she view boundaries between a man and woman, but with a relationship that blurs almost all boundaries a man and a woman would have (even in a marriage), I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s a bit confused on how to limit her interaction with him.
But to be frank, she did try to limit their interactions. With her saying from the earlier chapters to not bother an ‘old’ woman (her) anymore, that’s her way of keeping boundaries. But what did ML do? He kept pushing her, well, subtly. Although, yeah, she did told him it’s okay to bother her again if he wanted to when she told him to never appear in front of her anymore. But that’s what she wanted, so I won’t comment on it. Also, she thinks of him as a kid because he really does act like a kid. I suppose you think she should’ve punch and bite and maybe pull ML’s hair when he grabbed her, but the thing is, Fl trusts ML. That’s why she didn’t thrashed around in his hold.

FL has such low confidence in herself and she has an even lower self-esteem, so she can’t fathom that someone like ML (still young, has a much brighter future chance) will like someone like her (old, has been in a sinking relationship for 13 years). She treats him like a kid because that’s a way for her to be comfortable. She’s more comfortable by viewing a man like ML as a kid who needs her help rather than a man who is pursuing her actively. Plus, she likes his company. After what happened to her, a ‘friend’, or just anyone actually, to keep her company is highly appreciated.

FL / characters can act differently from what *you* think she/you would do in their situation, but staying true to their character, often leads to good character development which I look forward to seeing for her 🩵
