still….like I understand how high society antagonizes people without manners, but it just seems too easy. If he was supposed to be ill-mannered and rude, make him that.
He’s the psychopath main character who slaughtered nations for ONE girl, yet he’s acting like a normal dude :/ i don’t know…It’s just as a writer myself, I tend to analyze too much lol
But @Talerielle is probably right, I doubt the author is going to make him an actual tyrant (even though that would make the story more interesting but i digress)
Talerielle Laurel
I’m guessing he just has slightly rough mannerisms from living on the battle field for so long, so he doesn’t think much of stuff like touching a person at will (something high society frowns upon, especially between members of the opposite sex) or relaxing by putting his feet on the table (also frowned on by high society, which requires the utmost decorum at all times) but he’s not actually a tyrant. High society tends to stigmatize soldiers as bloodthirsty hooligans or worse if you happen to have a lot of success on the battlefield, so those previous rumors make sense.
and honestly, I DON’T believe he just kills people at will. emperors just tend to have to deal with lots of people who are just begging for death with their actions. My best guess is the blanche family got killed for making an unreasonable demand and trying to leverage her position as empress

He doesn’t act like a tyrant at all though 😕 I feel like his acceptance of her is too quick, it’s chapter 3 and he’s just like “okay I will follow her rules”.
Shouldn’t he be a little more ill-mannered like described? it doesn’t make sense for his character to be nice to her so quickly.
Like are we supposed to believe this man kills people at will?
