This is the final climax of the manhwa, and honestly the plot goes downhill after this. In the final battle, the demons initially gain the upper hand. A divine shield appears, weakening the demons and giving the “holy” knights an advantage. The saintess awakens a new power (implied to be something like teleportation or time manipulation), grabs the shield which stop the emission of holy power, and turns the tide—so in the end, the demons still win. Later it was mentioned that Holy power is also form of mana. so why were demons of House blaine weakened by it? idk, possibly a oversight by the author.
.
Outside the Catedral, Imperial army was worried about the sound of sword clashing and constant thunderstrikes(special power of one of the house blaine demons) however, they could not enter because Church explicitly mentioned — they would not tolerate imperial army meddling in their business.
All the high priests are killed except the genuinely good one. The priest who claimed the saintess “belonged” to him (i forgot his name) goes insane over her “betrayal,” tries to kill her, fails, and dies. Afterward, everyone in the empire gains superpowers because the gates of hell open, giving unlimited mana. House Blaine claims God ordered them to kill the corrupt priest, then gains public support by sending knights across the empire to eliminate monsters. No one opposes them, and the imperial family is satisfied because they sweared allegiance to Emperor. People are because now they have supernatural abilities. The story gets worse from here, super cringe-cliche stuff.
.
There’s a romantic moment between the leads, and that concludes the story. (Ending is quite disappointing to be honest).
All facts are from novel and so far manhwa seem to followed it, so, I expect the end to be the same as well.
