Guys. I’m thinking that she just feels awkward and pressured. Some people are polite/meek to a fault. They can’t stand it if people begin to hate/resent them (her family and/or the prince) and so will let themselves be walked over in an effort to stay in their good graces. They cannot speak up for themselves, because they’re used to their feelings coming second after their reputation; this is a learned behaviour.
That, plus, the prince is obviously pushy (grabbing her hand; sending a man after her friend who she was worried about) and he has a higher status than her. Of course she’d try to appease his ego.
Eileen sounds very gullible and desperate for love. Because of her upbringing, she seems to be the kind of person to get emotionally attached to someone too quickly and cling to them just because they were nice to her.
Of course I feel bad for her but my gut is telling me that her character is probably going to become annoying.
Clearly she likes attention even if it is from a bad person. So annoying I bet she’ll cry to her friend afterwards. People like this need to be cut off because they are so toxic
