I might be remembering wrong but I recall a bee documentary saying that the hive feeds a special formula for queen bees when they need a queen. The rest are unable to become queens without eating it as larvae.

You’re correct the queen bee feeds rayal honey to her favoured child but in rare cases if somehow any female worker bee ate almlst same amount of nutritious honey or necter she would become capable of laying eggs too which would make her queen too but it is very rare and few female bees can become like this either they have to born from a big and larger egg than others or have to consume nutritious necter day after day. In case sejun’s corps are magical item so I am assuming the necter the bee ate was also magical and she ate it for a long time daily and that might have caused her this change
