Tbh, kinda figured she’d be gotten rid if she got pregnant. Ippolito doesn’t exactly scream “father material” or even “involved father material”, he’s more so the type to have his way until the girl has a kid and he dips out. Not only that but even if he accepted the kid, his mom would likely go and have maleta killed. Hell, maleta is lucky if she isn’t being dragged out to the slaughter and is instead just being cast out. Tho I feel bad for the kid, especially since maleta is more likely to abandon it at an orphanage or keep it just in case but abuse it due to her incapability to handle her anger in a decent and mature manner.
