My toxic trait is thinking she should give Cesare a chance because technically he hasn’t done anything yet in this life. Sure the previous life only means that he’s capable of doing utterly despicable things but I don’t think it’s purely him, and that her sister had a lot to do with (how he saw Ariadne). Now that she’s somewhat deterring her sis’ schemes, it’s having a ripple effect. Though regardless if he really loved her or not in the past life, what he did to her personally is still pretty shitty considering what how much trust and love she had for him.
That being said, it all boils down to their chemistry. Sorry to Alfonso he’s a nice sunshine guy but Cesare and Ariadne just has too much chemistry for me, which has a lot to do with how Cesare has an interesting personality that’s not clear cut. And he has guts and is clear with what he wants, while wishy washy Alfonso will follow what momma says and not even offer Ariadne an explanation. Like yes obviously their positions are different but it’s just spineless behavior. I say this but I like him too and think he would make Ariadne happier, but chemistry wise it’s Cesare imo.
