I really don’t get people blaming the fl tbh.. her actions make sense when considering how she lived, being inferior to her sister and mistreated for being the daughter of a maid. She was mistreated both prior to meeting her father and after it seems. And so cesar waltzing in and faking kindness and love towards her, who has always been treated as inferior and likely wound up depressed and unsure if anyone would ever love her, let alone like her in the slightest, she falls head over heels for him as he’s the first person to show her love and kindness when she felt it was impossible to find such a person. So she chased and yearned for that love so much that she did anything for his happiness (remember the line where she wonders after killing the prince if cesar will love her more now? And when she said that his happiness was her happiness?) It’s not wrong to want the one you love to be happy but in this case, she sacrificed her happiness for the sake of his. She sacrificed everything from happiness to her own finger to the risk of getting killed for treason to her emotional wellbeing (cuz she looked deadass tired and depressed 9 years after the coup d’etat) to even her body (since she initially tried to refuse him when he wanted to have his way with her but then she obliged, simply for his happiness and love). Hell, one can say when the sister was monologuing, the fl was pretty much shattering internally, she was already breaking inside due to cesar but then her sister came and broke her even more. Ariadne simply wanted someone to love her and not throw her away, only to wind up used and tossed aside all because of someone who wanted power. You guys can praise the sister all you want. But the sister was just pure evil. Sure it’s not like the sister from “villianess reverses the hourglass” that simply hated the protag cuz she was raised with the idea put into her head to hate her. But still, while I am one for villian type protags, the sister.. is an antagonist similar to ones like the “sister” from “into the light”.

People are reaching in the comments, but saying that the FL’s actions were a result of her flaws is reaching even higher. She KILLED people for love, I don’t think that ends at just “flaws”.
In order to clear the air in the comments, let’s just say that the FL was undeniably shit in the past while also still hoping she matures and changes as a person.
So we are recognizing the issue and hoping for her revenge at the same time, sound good?

@Lunar9 – i completely agree to your statement. People forget that most women are blinded when it comes to love. I think the FL is alright, not great but not flat out garbage either she’s just like us human who have their own flaws and their own flaws get to them. People who commented here makes my head hurt because for just a few chapters they are already quick to judge the FL.
