I really love the complex emotions behind this story. I know everyone is screaming dumb FL but I empathize with her. Lingering emotions can be difficult when presented with a different version of someone you used to know. Plus that soldier screwed Alphonso and our FL by hiding the letters. So both of them are distraught.
