It seems to me that Lucia could have held herself better, but didn’t. I get why it’s just sometimes you should try to rise above your feelings and do the right thing (asking politely about your intended fiancés hobbies is one) regardless of how you have been treated. If you act out because you have been treated wrongly all you end up doing is playing into their hands
Lucia is now better off doing what she wanted to but she should have done better when she was there. Though it does seem she was quite overwhelmed
