She Was Supposed To Be A Temporary Princess But It Seems She Is Done A Little Too Well - Chapter 10
MY READING HISTORY

the way that i fucking despise the trope of dads who only think their daughters are worth loving if they remind him of his dead wife. i know this manga is going to redeem him or whatever and i hate the idea already. i think he’s a scumbag and i wish he would die.

Hate that dad vro psychopathic ahh nothing in his brain ahh if you were gonna be ruthless at least be smart about it and see that your child is growing up how you want like smh dumb ahh worried about succession disputes and you don’t even look at your child smh, dumb ahh. Even if he switches up I’ll still hate him, unpopular opinion I didn’t like Claude as well for the similar reasons, they are both dead beats in my eyes

i’m also a claude hater for life lmfao. glad to see someone else out there hates that piece of shit
the biggest disappointment to me was that he got redeemed at the end, i was waiting for the day that she’d abandon her piece of shit dad and move on with her life. i totally get that they ‘justified’ it with the whole magic taking away his emotions thing or whatever but the thing is HE CHOSE THAT MAGIC BC HE WAS BEING A COMPLETE LOSER AND NEGLIGENT FATHER, so i dont forgive him even with the justification and i frequently hope he gets hit by a bus
but w/e. ive come to accept that many of these types of stories like to redeem even the shittiest of fathers (and often condemn girls for minor infractions and demonize the working class, but thats a whole other can of beans)

Freya’s mom was for sure the Empress’ maid and took Freya because the idiot emperor only wanted one kid, who he then abandoned because he knows nothing and is a dick. Why would a child who has never seen you before, be happy about seeing your scary ass, stupid?

There should be no forgiveness at all. Period. He is despicable. Imagine disliking or more in his case having an absolute disinterest in your child, because she cried at their “first” encounter several years after her birth. Not only that he immediately decided that she wasn’t worth his interest because she lacked the vibe and characteristics in personality of the empress, who he met as an adult, while she was like 3 to 4.
Whats making him more trash is, that his lack of interest caused Lucia the princess to not only to feel abandoned but to be mentally and physically abused in terms of bullying and starvation. No past or other reasoning of his will ever be enough to be forgiven. But sadly like almost all stories and as hinted at at chapter one, it seems that he will get away with his actions and behavior.

I second the theory that they are, in actuality, twins and that FL’s ‘mom’ was the Empress’s other maid, taking the twin sister with her since the Emperor wanted only one child.
Or then they just happen to look exactly the same and have no relations at all, which would be kinda weird.

I have another theory – they’re actually twins, but since the emperor only wanted one child, the empress might have been worried about what he’d do to the other child, so she sent her away with one of her maids (empress has one maid with white hair, and we saw FL mother had white hair too)
.
Anyways, the emperor is a f*cking idiot and an absolute a*shole. Hope he grovels hard for Lucia’s attention, and that she gives him a really hard time until she forgives him. Lucia deserved so much better, not a sh*t parent

@K4ri.3h0 it’s still a possibility either way but it should be noted that Lucia and Freya look identical, including eye color. It’s really not that strange that either of their eyes would remind him of the empress. I think it’s Freya’s personality more than just her eyes that are reminding the emperor of his deceased wife.

this is most likely what happened.

I have a theory, what if both Lucia and Freya were both switched at birth, maybe that’s why Freya’s mum drilled noble etiquette into her. Obviously this is not very credible and is js a random thought that popped into my head while reading, cause why else should Freya’s eyes remind the emperor of his diseased wife.
