Better such would be buffoons be shamed and disgraced, so they can’t rise up in rebellion to try to take the crown later.
So the only solution for an heir with a magic beast (egg) is to kill off all their siblings who also have magic beasts! Do you really thing the most ruthless killer is the best ruler?
