Why didn’t she let Mirimae in on the scheme? Like a little would still help? Is it typical of modern Korean education to traumatized a child to teach another a lesson? Or is the next chapter going to reveal that actually, Mirinae was treated nicely even though she’s suspected of losing important documents and the readers are fucking stupid?

? what are you saying? mirinae knows the plan. thats why she was yawning (looked like she was crying) because she was explained the plan the night before so she couldn’t sleep… everyone of importance knows the plan but the brat lol

MC’s tactics is insane lol. Fl tried to make that dumb boy fall in love to discipline him. Like why would you do that? And now things doesn’t go the way you want you’re doing something stupid to the commoner girl so that dumb boy will confess himself about his actions. That’s really stupid. The fact that she bring in that commoner girl to mess with the dumb boy’s heart itself is stupid.

not fall in love. develop a sense of friendship and camaraderie towards someone whos not himself… thats about trust, loyalty and empathy… its about his lack of character. will he step up to save his friend? he needs this reality shock to be a decent person

I don’t approve of this “tactics”.
This whole ordeal might “instil” respect in the boy way later on, but until now he only has reason to look down on the female lead who didn’t care about his tricks with the answer sheets and even pretended to fall asleep instead of teaching him properly.
Also: this could have gone wrong in so many ways!
Either the boy could NOT have felt guilty, then what? The whole plan would fail. Or … what if he had felt so overwhelmed that he had run away in the night … or even tried to kill himself just so he wouldn’t be shamed by his father – since he could not be sure if Mirinae wouldn’t decided to tell the truth to save herself?
I really hope Mirinae has been told the truth about this whole stupid scheme even before the night and won’t have panicked or gotten a trauma by fearing what would happen to her.

it is about discipline and choice. The MC showing both of them that actions have consequences in a controlled environment. The MC cares about both of them and will not punish them harshly but what if they made a similar choice somewhere else? The kid would not just end up with some trauma but physical harm.

“Is it morally right to let the child of a commoner child suffer to teach a noble child the meaning of justice and morals, when not stopping the noble child may lead to far more injustice and violence?”
One could simplify the question with “is it morally right to make one child suffer to teach another?” And answer it just as simply “hurting children is wrong”. But it really is not that simple, because despite the unfairness of it all, the commoner child can only affect so many people with their actions, while the noble child will affect far more people.
In a perfect world, this sort of situation would not be needed and one could teach the second child with kinder methods.
But this world, and these fictional worls are not perfect worlds. This is a brutal method of teaching that will likely scar both children. But better a scar than wounds inflicted that will be fatal for others.
If it pays out, of course. The lesson that may be learned is that “you can’t trust anyone so harm anyone who harms you and never give your heart away or it will be used as weakness.”
