a) demanding respect from an employee is a completely normal thing. she didn’t even say anything, his reaction was entirely because he knew he was doing the wrong thing and if he got transferred it’d get found out.
b) the business practices aren’t shady. well they are but literally every business does it. like the ma and pa shop down the street? their accounting is the WORST. Audits rarely even pick it up because it’s legal. the shell companies are legitimate businesses that just lose money. when it gets picked up is when the shell companies are dodgy charities which have more regulation. why do you think bill gates donates huge sums to charity? to get rid of it. it’s a completely normal practice that’s rarely talked about because uninformed people like you don’t understand and make unfounded assumptions.

sigh
look
im still enjoying this
but man did i get myself excited at the prospect that i wouldnt be reading any ‘victorious’ scenes of our noble protag putting a servant in their place urgh
it’s not about whether the stable guy was being bad or good, he could be the biggest asshole in the world, idc. i just dislike the trope. the author crafted this scene so that our protag could put him in his place and assert her authority over him and i just am disappointed bc i was srsly hoping this piece wouldnt contain anything like that
on top of her teaching dishonest business practices and im like “man i really jumped the gun in my assumptions of where this piece was going”
ohwell. she’s still an enjoyable protag, this is still an interesting story, im still having a good time. i just got my hopes up all on my own and then got disappointed all on my own LOL.
No one cares if you drop it
Just because you have a problem w any sort of authority doesn’t make commanding respect a bad thing 😭 she didn’t even fire him, she just moved him away. you act like she beat him or something? “hOW dARe sHE HavE REsPeCT fOr hErSelF?!”

She has a role to play as nobility. If shes looked down on by others it negatively effects the family. He’s literally just gonna have to do his job correctly and stop being lazy oh no what a nightmare.
