I watched this law thingy that said something really interesting: if the royals make laws to benefit themselves, the nobles will start to seek ways to benefit their families, and in doing so, they will steal from the poor, and in consequence the poor will have to resort to stealing just to survive….and overall the land will be turned savage and lawless. Which just shows that the top dogs need to be righteous and just….
