Honestly I feel bad for her knowing her past and how she got her heart broken but taking her anger and revenge out on his ancestors (The FL and her family) is so wrong and messed up

If I were anita and people killed all of my family and friends I would exactly do the same. It is a revenge it doesn’t have to be necessarily justified or not harmful for anyone. She’s hurt and all she thinks about is how to get back on them which is really reasonable for a person who’s already lost everything that was valuable to her. I really really like FL but I’m on anita’s team and I think it’s because of author’s abilities that all characters are this well written and likable! I think whoever was a yeagerist while watching AOT can relate to Anita here too
It’s not like Anita’s actions are justified. It’s just normal that she would hate everyone (humans) and have so much resentment for humans when the king committed genocide against her kind (witches). Aneta wanting revenge is a pretty normal reaction to the betrayal and the bad stuff that happened to her and the other witches. This is what people like about her character. She’s not a shallow antagonist who wants to be queen just because. She has motives behind her actions. Also, I don’t think she should be blamed for the atrocities the first king committed.
But her action is not justified. Even how in the past she blinded by human love. Her action in the past and present, involving too many innocent souls humans and animals for her own purposes are NOT justified. It is wrong

Sure she was wronged, fooled and betrayed but
who’s fault is it?
who did not listen to her sisters when she was cautioned?
who did not care to reason?
The world is filled with unfairness on equal parts with equity, we are reminded to use our heads to think and face the consequences of OUR actions.
The problem I have with her is that she wants to damn the whole kingdom, even the sick and poor that have absolutely nothing to do with it. It’s insane.
The fact of the matter is that the man who betrayed her is dead and gone and unless she goes to the underworld to bring him out, she’s just being unreasonable.
She foolishly chose her path and is now trying to make everyone suffer because of her decisions.

The antagonist is perfect. She has reasons to hate everyone. MC is also really good and smart. This story is perfectly developed so far.
I think Aneta/Evaldina is my favourite Rofan villain, because she is entirely justified in her plots and schemes, she’s not under any stupid delusion like “he can only love me cause I’m the prettiest”, bonus points cause neither the protagonist nor antagonist are particularly focused on love (the doki doki kind). Many have said if the story were told from her pov, most would support her, but still Regina too is likable and well rounded as the protagonist, especially when she even sees that the witch conned by her ancestor would be right to hate them, but even so she cannot sacrifice her brother nor her nation for that. It’s two types of clashing justice and just makes the story so damn good!
