im so fucking sick of reading manhwas where the dad doesnt give a fuck about his sons and dotes on his daughters
this particular piece isnt as bad as most tbh, like the fact that he’s shown any affection or care for his male children is already above average. but honestly, it’s still pathetic
idk man, if you’re not capable of loving your children regardless of gender, maybe dont have kids at all.
im not saying to love the sons more, just love them the SAME or fuckit, at least to a comparable level. instead of “he’s obsessed with his daughter”, why cant i ever find “he actually likes all his children and maybe he has a favorite, but it’s not that noticeable cuz he dotes on and loves them all”
i totally get that im reading the wrong genre if thats what im looking for, but it still grates my nerves
every damn time these manhwas are trying to sell these fathers to me as being “such a hot and wonderful father, how doting and perfect” and im like “i wouldnt go near that man with a ten foot pole and i wanna call child protective services for his sons”
again, this manhwa isn’t quite all that bad, im just venting about all the manhwas ive read where this definitely has been the case. this manhwa honestly ALMOST makes me believe he loves his sons and i think thats why it’s irking me more. because i keep getting hopeful that im finally going to read about an actually decent father and then it falls into the same tired tropes and the disappointment is agitating me
anyway, overall entertaining series, i’ll still keep reading, even if im a bit bitter lol
