Does nobody understand that she was acting pathetic for a good reason? She was neglected, abused and practically tortured on a daily basis. No wonder she tried to commit suicide.
The author should justify the brothers’ and grandfather’s actions towards the MC because I’m thinking they are stigmatizing her mental illness at this point.
