I’m not really completely sure. But Sasha is a twin and (due to translation errors) it was either him or his twin that accidentally gave Felix’s relative (an uncle or something) the idea on how to break her engagement. Since the guy was his teacher and he asked him a theoretical question. Though he realizes it wasn’t so theoretical when news breaks out of Luce’s scandal and he feels guilt. He wanted to help her since she was his first love, but the relative threatened to reveal that he had a twin (which is seen as bad due to superstitions in the royal family) and in order to protect his brother, he had to remain silent.
