In the first chapter, it was mentioned that the lab wanted to recruit her for a long time, and after she had nowhere to go along with a lot of debt that became her only option. It was right there that it crossed my mind that, maybe it was the Lab’s scheme to get her over to their side?!
And when meeting Sasha, I was like, maybe he instigated the plot to get her for himself?!
And when she narrated about Sasha’s past and his relations to the lab, then it all came together.

I had already assumed him being a prince, and someone of a lower authority than the CP.
Also, him being so wary of Roman meant he feared his authority over himself. So if Roman is a high ranking noble/knight whos aa friend of the CP it makes more sense why Sasha doesn’t like him, and so is Roman. They both are wary of eachother, meaning they have a history with one another..

Guess Sasha really did scheme to get Luce all to himself. If he really was frail and grew up in the countryside then it is understandable why he loves/obsesses over Luce. Did he first saw her when they were young perhaps? A familiar plot. Its sad.
All and all, I feel really bad for Sasha, even if he is a villain in disguise. He is another case of a love-deprived child who ended up being a villain due to some adults negligence.
I’m pretty sure sasha is the prince.. If you look sasha he doesn’t look like a commoner, he looks like a royalty, not to mention royalty always have a blonde or silver hair and blue or golden eyes, always like that.
