The teacher is an idiot for pulling that and both the main characters are idiots for never just saying what they mean. It seems like literally all of their problems would have gone away if they just communicate effectively. Relationship are impossible without good communication. I’m assuming/ hoping better communication is gonna be a big part of the character development
I hate that kind of grading system. It just give the slackers more of a reason to not do the work since they can get a decent grade without doing their part
