I wanna say something to defend the FL since I’ve seen a lot of comments on previous chapters on her being harsh towards the OGFL. You have to remember that the FL has a feeling of betrayal towards OGFL because she was abandoned to clean up the mess that the OGFL has partial blame in. Before tragic events occurred, the FL sensed something was off with the evil priest and had warned the OGFL against him. Despite this the OGFL sheltered him. This choice led to the death of all her family and many of the citizens of her territory in which she was raised as a noble to feel responsible for. As a person on the outside we can reasonably see that the OGFL never could have predicted such dire consequences, but this all occurred when the FL was a child. She awoke with everyone massacred except for the infant in her arms and her sister fleeing. The OGFL didn’t stay and try to defend herself, but left the FL alone to figure it out herself. Seeing her run away it can be easily perceived as guilt. She didn’t know of the OGFL saving her life until she was once again in a life threatening situation. She could only see the heavy burden left to her, a child. She became a parent and had to fight off the greedy vultures after her family’s remaining fortune. Even then that wasn’t enough and she had to find out a way to support not only herself, but a baby. And she had to take responsibility for a territory ravaged by a disaster. Imagine being forced to figure out how to help a city recover from a freaking hurricane as a literal child. All this after the loss of her whole family. She didn’t get a moment to grieve, but had to push herself through it because she had so many relying on her. What is she going to do with all those bottled up feelings? It’s understandable how the grief and abandonment turned into feelings of resentment. What’s even worse is that she hasn’t really been able to heal those feelings of abandonment since she is isolated by the world with no one to rely on. Instead it has only festered and worsened. Those who are kind to her are subordinate to her. Anyone who could be her peer looks down on her with judgement or is looking for any weakness. And maybe to her it would have just even a bit more bearable if she had someone by her side. If instead of running away the OGFL stayed. But she didn’t and she all alone. Alone to grieve. Alone to carry heavy burdens no child should.
Og fl is properly the rare character who’s actually nice and wants fls safety but fl is too rude to her like plz can u both sisters solve the conflict and fight evil together??
(I think she left before cuz she was too scared to face fl cuz it was due to her that the whole family met that tragic end )
